RATIO presents Tacto and Ineo handlebars with a horizontal section of 30mm diameter.

Compared to traditional bars, with a diameter of around 24mm, the 30mm diameter allows a suitable hand grip and better support, limiting the pressure and stress on the thumb palmer muscle. In fact, it would be good to educate cyclists in modifying their grip on the bars. The best position is with the full hand open with the thumb laid above, instead of holding the bar with the thumb on the lower side. This position avoids fingers aching and numbing and allows for a quicker transition to the brake levers.

The Tacto bar is made in carbon fiber. Thanks to this particular technology we were able to give the bar a more precise and innovative shape and some technical setting ups that cannot be achieved with aluminum alloy tubes.

Thanks to carbon, we were able to move the horizontal section of the bar back and drop it 3 degrees to allow the user a more natural position for their shoulders, thus relaxing the muscles of the cervical area (that’s to say the “trapezius” and “scalene” muscles”).

With alloy bars, these angles are not always possible but on the contrary, with the Ineo, we have created a drop shape to the horizontal section, with 30mm of diameter. In this way we reach similar results and feel as with the Tacto bar, but using an alloy 7050.

For a cyclist it is very important to work on your legs and on your stomach muscles, leaving the hands and the arms - as well as the shoulders - as relaxed as possible. With Ineo and Tacto all of this is very easy to achieve.

Both Ineo and Tacto use the PWCB profile (Progressive Widening Contact Bend) with a greater depth in the bending radius. Therefore, the bar results wider and rounded until 125°. This innovation allows the hand to work on an extremely natural bending radius, that is more comfortable and that allows for a full grip of the bar.
